And when did leading a life of sin make it so that you could not say nothing about morals? Damn, I'd have to keep my mouth shut all the time. It doesn't. But you and I don't make a living out of it. That's a non sequitur. To illustrate, I am an RN, I tell people not to eat such and such or eat this instead of that, then I run right out and add bacon to my meal. Your "Mann Coulter" quip actually reminds me of one of the funniest cuts, perhaps the only funny one, I have ever seen about her. On some socialist rant site they were going bananas over her John Edwards bit. Some guy posted something like "Oh leave her alone, Ann's just a transvestive pretending to be a neo nazi". Rarely are liberals that funny because usually they descend to a bitterish sarcazm. |

I thought 40% sounded kinda high too. So I googled. In 2005, 69.5 percent of all births to non-Hispanic black women, 63.3 percent of births of American Indian or Alaskan native woman, and 47.9 percent of births to Hispanic women occurred outside of marriage, compared with 25.4 percent for non-Hispanic white women and 16.2 percent for Asian or Pacific Islander women (preliminary estimates) But race aside, 4 in 10 children in the U.S. were born out of wedlock in 2005. Not good. But my first child was born out of wedlock so I can't do too much finger wagging. C'est la vie. |

It's hogwash. Complex social problems do not have a single cause. If Ms. Coulter and her ilk had the answers to society's ills, then they probably would not be in the entertainment business.

I agree that single motherhood is not good. But single motherhood is one of only two options available as an alternative to abortion (adoption being the second). I just wonder what kind of message an article like this sends to pregnant women that we are hoping and praying will choose life. It just seems we want them to choose life, but then complain about it and their lifestyle (single motherhood) when they do.

I don't understand the Coulter-bashing here.
She agrees with traditionalists on all major issues, she is bright, articulate, camera-friendly and her books and articles are quite insightful and humorous...
I haven't read anything negative about her private life, and so the charge that she is a hypocrite doesn't stick.
I am glad that she is on our side of most issues, for heaven's sake she even claimed Jews should convert, which almost ended her career, so let's give her a break!
