Hi all,

I've been a lurker here for awhile and I finally decided to jump in and post. I found this site through my husband, and have loved all the resources (especially the articles on circumcision and breastfeeding! It was great to find like-minded Catholics.) As time went on, I was able to attend my first TLM, and I was hooked. Every time I go to the NOM now, (usually during daily Mass) I can't get involved as much. There is too much activity going on. It's never quiet!
I am a relatively frequent poster on Catholic Answers Forums, but frankly I'm tired of having to defend so many of the Church's teachings (especially Her social teachings, like abortion and gay marriage) to self-professed Catholics! The Traditional Forum would be all right if it wasn't for those clearly not traditional Catholics who post there simply to disagree with everything that Traditionalists have a valid complaint about.
Anyway, on a personal level, I am a wife and mother of 5 (1 Stepdaughter, 2 in Heaven by miscarriage, 1 little boy, and another on the way.) I hope to grow spiritually, mentally, and emotionally here. My husband and I are rather on our own for the area we live in. We do have 2 good Catholic friends, a married couple, but right now they live 4 hours away from us. So, to say it's not lonely at times would be a lie.
Well, that's about all there is to say about me I guess. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.

"Oh, yes, Father."
"But supposing it didn't?"
He thought a moment and said, "I suppose it would be sort of raining spiritually, only we were too sinful to see it."

It definitely is. We've been going since October, almost every week. The only times we don't go is if we don't have the gas money (it's 45 minutes away), or something else comes up. We are planning on registering for the parish, I believe, and hopefully our new little one will be baptized according to the Traditional Latin Rite.  Smile

Ahh, the joys of being a trad Fish-Eater Smackdown.  We have to travel an hour to any Mass site in Dallas.  I mean it's absolutely ridiculous.  It almost defies physics and geometry.  We have lived in several places here.  All far from each other and we are ALWAYS an hour away, be it the FSSP, SSPX or the one independent chapel I am aware of (all the sites are ALWAYS an hour away).  How is that possible?

Reminds me of "O Brother Where art Thou"  --  "Well, ain't this place a geographical oddity,.....two weeks from everywhere."

The old rite of Baptism is cool.  All three of ours have been.
