Its not a lent thing, it's a vanity thing...

Ever heard of the book "French woman don't get fat"? It's all about meal replacement(kind of). You eat one fattening meal, eat the next one light, to make up for it. I had some fries today, so I ate a light dinner...

And here I was trying to give you credit as well as the benefit of doubt . . .

Hey, at least you're honest about it. That counts for something!

I had a salad and onion soup with fresh baguettes made with my new levain and a glass of cheap pinot grigio for supper yesterday. Tonight I am making some ciabatta (also with my starter) and gnocchi with some kind of tomato basil sauce.

Fisheaters is a strange place.

I tried to make sweet & sour shrimp, but failed.  So we had greasy shrimp and rice with sweet-and-sour sauce dumped on top.

I'm hoping that's some kind of yogurt in picture 2.  Otherwise, I'm going to probably skip dinner now....
