The Billionaire's Vinegar

An interesting story about the auction of a bottle of Chateau Lafitte in 1985 for £105,000 - a 1787 with "Th.J" engraved on it.  Christie's sold it as being one of Thomas Jefferson's (who was quite the wine guy).  Let's just say things didn't work out quite like people had hoped though.

Baritsu is on display in the Sherlock Holmes with Jude Law.

Thanks for the heads up. Is it legitimate Bartitsu though, or is it like Batman Begins labelling KFM as "ninjutsu"...?

Haven't seen the Jude Law film uet but intend to at some stage.

All that we are is a picture in a mirror, with fancy shoes to grace our feet. All that there is, is a slow road to freedom; Heaven above and the devil beneath. Seven Storey Mountain by Thomas Merton. Oh, and excerpts from "Leviathan" for uni. I really prefer the former.

Yes DK i like your book idea.
Ive got one its called ' Dare to fail.'
dare to be the failure you always promised yourself you'd be.
In it I'd put a made up character call him alan lashley whose a soccer manager and have him interviewed.
" Well Mr. Lashley you have a remarkable way of motivating your players dont you.
Yeh thats right yeh.
Could you explain for the viewers what that is.
Yeh sure 'arry  - you see what i do is kidnap their wives.
let me understand this - you kidnap your players wives.
yeh thas right.
how does this work
well i tell 'em that they wont see 'em again unless they win the game.
does it motivate them.
not really.
no - you've lost every game this season.
yeh thats right.they're such nervous wrecks they tank evry game.
you used to be the manager of a pop band I believe  - yeh we were called Ye Gods.( from late peter cooke script.)

for chumps and losers.
You're STILL a chump and a loser.
funny line. LOL.
go on tv say you've got the great idea for the 21st century  - dis all the self dev gurus and say  they all talk s.h. one.
Give them the idea that will empower them  - dare to fail.
Accept frustration as a destiny, embrace the worlds deadbeats and losers as brothers in arms.
cld. be a v. funny book!
