"The Sayings of the Desert Fathers"

Did you start reading this? Is it good?

I love books about desert spirituality and monasticism.

I thank God that I live in a day when the enemy is outside the Church, and I know where he is and what he is up to. But, I foresee a day when the enemy will be both outside and inside the Church . . . and I pray now for the poor faithful who will be caught in the crossfire.

There are so many editions ... I am reading the one by Helen Waddell ... it's pretty awesome.

Awesome, thanks.

Little bit of both. Born just below the Mason Dixon Line and an unreconstructed Confederate and a proud immigrant to Canada and loyal subject of Her Majesty! Smile

I recently finished Bl. Columba Marmion's "Christ in His Mysteries".  Amazing work showing hos the mysteries of Christ as revealed to us through the Liturgical season, and how these mysteries are our mysteries too.

Anything by Marmion is amazing.

Read Animal Farm yesterday. I had actually never finished it when we were supposed to read it in high school.  LOL  What a trip!
