Anyone in England looking to trade books or missals? Just sent two books to the US and it cost a fortune - and that was surface mail!.

Me! In Edinburgh, but I'm not sure what I have that you'd want! God bless.

Yep yep yep. It takes a month of Sundays to get there, and costs almost as much!

I don't entirely agree - whilst you are right about the time taken* I find that the price for surface mail is about half the cost of airmail for the equivalent weight and bulk, roughly equivalent to the cost of postage within the UK.  If anyone wants to check postage costs, I recommend the Royal Mail "price Finder" Postage Calculator, here: http://sg.royalmail.com/portal/rm/PriceFinder?catId=23500532&gear=pricingcalc&campaignid=pricefinder_redirect

I am a collector myself and always happy to pass on my duplicate or unwanted books, and one of my particular interests is Catholic (and Anglo-Catholic) liturgical material.

*although a couple of time I have had surface mail items get there in a matter of days - perhaps because they were processed as Airmail by mistake
