Does this mean I should ditch my no-good cat and git myself a dawg?

just a few days ago, Satori... it was all over the news.

And if you didn't read it, you should have at least heard Walty screaming from where you live.

 LOL

Poor Walty...   LOL

Hey! Hey! Hey!

Screaming..  pssht.  It's all propoganda, Satori.

But seriously, just move.

Where there's one there's more... and unless you like rat stew... or the little, wiry, writhing, dirty, bacteria infested thing snuggling into bed with you, then perhaps you should just tell your landlord.  And get a new oven.  And caulk the floorboards.  And buy lots of Lysol.  And a new cat and a dog.  And make sure they have rabies shots.

OR I'll bring my toe nail clippers over and show Mr. Salmonella what a real cheesehead looks like.

We had mice several years back. The poison the exterminator left worked fine. That rat's days are numbered. Get your landlord to clean the oven, or replace it. Or at very least, find out whether or not if you mess with the oven and it gets broken, will you be held responsible?

I was sure you'd condole with me on my inability to bake.

Fine, fine. But you can't bake cakes and cookies in a bread machine.

Messing with sheet metal sucks.  The screws are really tough.  I recommend getting a repairman in, or the landlord.

Rats are too big for cats usually.  Dogs do better.  In fact, there is a breed called a "Rat Terrier" that was originally bred for ratting and clearing out other small vermin.  Though, they are terriers so full of energy...  Most terriers in general will go after vermin.

Quote
The Rat Terrier was a common farm dog in the early 1900s, bred for catching barn rats in haystacks. Purportedly a rat terrier holds the record for most rats killed in a single infested barn: 2501 rats in 7 hours.

oh, and Walty may be interested in getting a dachshund - they were actually bred for going down badger holes.

I live in DC now.  No badgers around here, just weasels... and cockroaches.
