I don't think this thread is a good idea.  Entertaining error for the sake of entertainment is still error.

How about if we rephrase the title to, 'Who or what would you have liked to have been in the past'?

Good idea. Just have to figure out how to modify it But gosh, some people are touchy ( I dont mean you)

Touchy? I really don't think so. 

See here's the thing: the idea of reincarnation means that Christ did not die as our savior and redeemer; it means that neither Heaven nor Hell is our eternal reward or just punishment; it means that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is a liar and a punchline.

It is not befitting a Catholic to pretend like that.

I think it is more of a game of "describe yourself now in terms of things of the past".

I do think the "what do you think Heaven is like" is a bit out of line, but I suppose it is one of those things we have to bear.

It is like saying something is their "karma" or someone is a "deva" (interestingly, a girl should be a "devi", not a "deva". I find that amusing when it is amused by people here...). It is using the word for something other else, then it is not referring to the same concept.
