I've never played it myself, but it got an 83 on MetaCritic, so it can't be all bad... Just know that it's 100% grid-based, turn-based strategy combat that has VERY little to do with a typical Final Fantasy game.  If that's your cup of tea, then I'd say it's totally worth it.

I haven't played either, but I believe it does feature a FF-type storyline --- sort of like Final Fantasy XII, almost?  I haven't played XII either so I might be off base here.

I would definitely buy it if I had the chance - it would be at least neat to collect old FF games, if nothing else.

It's FF man! Of course it is!!  ;D I found a copy in the local game store $1(or less) bin by chance.  I run it on ePSXe - nice distraction when you need one.

But then again I'm one of those FF nuts so, you know, take my advice with a pillar of salt...

I thought it was pretty dang good back in the day, not like the other recent final fantasies, but hey you still got chocobos if my memory recollects
