I can’t pick an avatar, I keep bouncing back and forth from sadness to gladness, my thoughts are scattered everywhere, I’ve been accused of going on “emotional diatribes” and here comes one more.. LOL

I’m leaving as a “regular” poster. I’m getting too old or maybe too naïve for FE, which is a pool of angry 20-something He trads, all of which I’m not and it’s taken me three years to figure out that I’ve been misplaced. Duh. I’m telling you why because this subforum is for “Goodbyes” as well as “Hellos” and “I’m Backs” and maybe you’d want to know. There’s a place for anger, but it’s become too tiring sifting through the gloominess to find a little hope. If there was more hope and less gloom, if my thoughts didn’t fly like dust particles as soon as I started typing, if I could harness my replies into clever one-liners instead of emotional discourses, I might stay.

But I can’t leave and say nothing, or without ending on an upbeat note…….

Best wishes to Elizabee and Anthony on their upcoming wedding, also Matthew R and goggleeyes, Deus Dark and OCLittle Flower (forgive me if I’m forgetting someone).

Best wishes to Erin, Canadian Catholic, Maryskey, Joan of Arc, and all Moms-To-Be (forgive me if I’m forgetting someone).

Best wishes to the young men discerning a vocation to the priesthood, and for all those in the seminary.

Thanks to Quis and Vox for giving me an outlet for three years to do my share of soapboxing, and for making me feel welcome and for never banning me.

Thanks to all with whom I formed online friendships and who taught me a few things I didn’t know.

I’ll continue to pray for you all and I’ll read the Prayer Forum. Please pray for me too so that I can gather my thoughts and use them to write something of substance.

God bless you.

Don't check out entirely...I know it's got to be hard for you to here your Mass talked down and all that...and recently the equilibrium has been upset....but it'll return.   And the woman's clothes thing is a neverending source of entertainment

The cigar scout rocks by the way

Besides...you present great posts steeped in that Hope you spoke of...(and folks need it...it's a good wake up call...a wet cloth on the feet of those in deep sleep)

And it's time I publicly pronounce it....when we go on our big trip this spring...we will be stopping at everyone's...(who wants it) church....that means...yes I know....an NO Mass....I was hoping to make a big splash with that after Christmas...but you forced my hand.

CC, I don't have Facebook. Sorry. But I'll stay in touch with you.

Scipio, I would never expect you to attend a NO Mass. But if you're around Cincy this spring, I'd love to give you and UD a tour of our beautiful Gothic century old church when it's empty, as well as an invite to our church supply store. It's like a Catholic Disney land.

I liked the cigar-smoking scout too.  Smoking

Now my daughter's getting ready to pick me up for Thanksgiving at her house. Yea! Happy Turkey Day!

Strict CatholicGirl

If you leave the older more seasoned voice of reason will leave with you.

I know it seems to be a bunch of angry 20 somethings, but the moderation has been sparse lately.

Do you really want me to be the only "old" gal here?

Maybe you and I should apply to be moderators.

Besides, its not just the 20 somethings that come across as angry.  It always amazed me, on this and another trad site that shall remain nameless, (which draws an older crowd)  that we, trads, who have the fullness of Faith and the Mass and the sacraments, are such a dour group.

We should be the most joyful people on earth!

Please stay around, at least a little bit, for my sake.
