I'm late to the party and three sheets to the wind (metaphorically speaking) as usual, so I don't know where this was left, but I think you should stay because we need a rational person from the other side of the aisle (notice - same Church, different side of the aisle!!). And the reality is as Catholics we all have more in common than what we differ on. To be sure, the differences are important, but the commonalities are more important - love of Christ, love of Church. So, I hope you stay. After all, not many people working in dioceses can say they circulate in the online (rad) trad circles, and have (rad) trads that like them to boot! Okay that seals it. I stay. Thanks Quis.. NOW.. what can we do to get YOU back on board?!!

I'm feeling pretty good these days.
To continue feeling good, I recommend staying out of the theological debate and Zionism/Catholic subfora. Vox and I should have a warning label on those: Hic sunt dracones (Here be dragons).

Some of the storms have hopefully passed, and I've improved from inconsolable jerk to my more usual generally miserable curmudgeon state. ;) Hopefully the remaining storms will be dealt with soon enough.

Here's to the calming of the storms, and the laying low of the mountains, and the filling up of the valleys, and the smooooooth highway of curmudgeon states!

Lisa, I am so glad you are not leaving! I just read this whole thing through, and my sadness turned to joy I only saw this now because I too get frustrated with the wackiness here sometimes so I'm sort of a sporadic reader, but I was so touched at your wedding wishes for me and Tony! I remember your Sacred Heart campaign and how nice it felt to know you were praying for me. I remember your old avatar and you saying some guy (since banned/left, I can remember the avatar vaguely but the name escapes me?) had really hurt your feelings about it. I remember countless posts defending the Church's authority in its entirety, which is more than one usually can expect here. Listen, madame, I like Vatican II, I wear pants (have you seen the TIA article about women in pants in the winter? Hello, they are skiing in those pictures! We are obviously not evaluating frostbite weather over at TIA, are we?), I have read and enjoyed writings of and about JPII, and I am on your side most of the time I do think. I even have an account at CA forums and have never been banned. So there, I promise not to be an angry He-trad I wish you a very blessed Advent mon amie. Amy

"But Christianity preaches an obviously unattractive idea, such as original sin; but when we wait for its results, they are pathos and brotherhood, and a thunder of laughter and pity; for only with original sin we can at once pity the beggar and distrust the king." -- G. K. Chesterton (1874-1936)
