Look at this one, Scipi.   July 1942.

Look at the price.  10 cents an issue and $4.50 a year's subscription (published weekly  :o).

I wish we could go back to that flag...drop MA and CA...

Ha!  I had to think that one over for a second.  You're right.. 48 stars!

I'd drop CA and give Texas back to Mexico.

 LOL  Just kidding, Scipi.

Don't worry, the Lord will take California back into the ocean one of these days.  Las Vegas might be beachfront property soon.

As for Massachusetts, I wouldn't kick them out.  But I would organize a raid to re-Catholicize the area.  Michigan, on the other hand, can go to Canada and no one would miss it.

We don't want to send any state to Canada that's thatclose to Ohio.   LOL

Besides, I'm retiring to Mackinac Island.  Cool summers.  Good fudge.  No cars.

Interesting site with the Life magazine covers, although my birthweek's issue wasn't a pleasant event.   Rolling eyes

Here's one from my birthday...

...which appears to be coming up soon.   Happy Birthday!

Michigan isn't part of Canada?   Huh?

July 16 is a good day -  feast day of Our Lady Mount Carmel and St Clare's birthday.  Smile

I gave my entire record collection to my 37 year old son.  My son remembers records.

I'm the OLDEST!

No, you're not.  I'm older than you and so are at least two other Fisheaters, both of them older than me, though one's only got me by weeks.

And i've still got all my records but i'm sure daughter and son-in-law will like adding them to their huuuge collection of vinyl one day.

Where do I go to find my birthday edition of Life?  Shrug
