Canadian Catholic... where did u see Body Worlds? At Science World BC in Vancouver?
Regarding the exhibit, the Archbishop of Vancouver said Catholics shouldn't go for the same reason as the USCC. Also there is some evidence that the bodies are of political prisoners from China... does that surprise anyone?
Regarding organ donation, the problem as has been pointed out is that brain dead is not REAL Death. The Church has always said that the only reliable criterion to know the person is dead and that the soul has left the body is a sign of physical corruption eg. rigor mortis. All the rest is just bleeps on a screen or the lack thereof or a doctor saying your brain isn't working.
I wouldn't advocate being an organ donor unless you have a guarantee they won't harvest you until you are really dead, but when you are really dead your organs aren't usable.
Check out lifesitenews.com they have stories on the recent controversy in Rome about this issue, a Catholic doctor raised the point because now with the increase in baby boomers getting older there is a growing market for organs, so doctors in Canada for example want to revise brain death so that they can more easily access organs..... It is getting pretty scary.

It's possible in some such cases to attempt to transplant the embryo to the uterus from the fallopian tube. Not guaranteed to work, but it would be the most ethical option.
I havent heard of that before, sounds very interesting, I imagine it isnt possible universally though. Would you mind providing some references, examples etc for that. It is VERY interesting I must admit.

It is VERY interesting I must admit. My MIL is an obstetric nurse and I've heard about it from her; because it's a fairly new procedure, I don't think it's well known.

Pity theres not much info, it is fascinating though isnt it?
It would be a real life saver - no pun intended - for traditional married couples who have the misfortune of an ectopic pregnancy.
I must do a bit of research on it!

Fetus is perfectly good Latin for offspring or, more abstractly the act of bringing forth young, but (as is often the case), the Latin is used as a euphemism to avoid confronting the reality of the issue.
This is yet another reason to support the advancement of the Latin language; the pro-abortionists will have one less thing to dissemble and hide behind.

Eek. I also removed my organ donor sticker from my health card a number of years ago when I became religious, because of a gut instinct I had, but I hadn't thought about it in this detail. Yikes!
