Rose took me to an Amish restaurant (my first time).  We pigged out on fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn bread.  As a Yankee, I felt very out of place.

You're right! I just checked. I thought Ember Days were days of complete abstinence. I've been subsisting on fish and cheese! I coulda had a pastrami sandwich! LOL
