The EON Bond films are the iconic ones, there have been other productions with the likes of David Niven playing Bond, but here I am only dealing with the major films main actors.
Who do you like the best?
Mine is Daniel Craig. I like the updated feel of the films with the loss of the campiness.
My dad's favorite is Roger Moore...
It turns out Dalton was the first choice after Connery quit...but he refused saying he was too young to play the role.

There's only one true Bond, Connery Bond.
Bond: "Do you expect me to talk?" Goldfinger: "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"

"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome
"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

No doubt I'll be spending some extra time in Purgatory for this, but I chose Pierce Brosnan. However, I do like what Daniel Craig is doing with the role.

Tough one. Connery and Craig capture the ruthlessness, but Moore did a better job at the wit and sophistication. Lazenby was forgettable. Brosnan was starting to grow into the role when he quit, but Goldeneye was pretty awful; Sean Bean (as the villain) was much cooler. Let's not even discuss Timothy Dalton.

Let's not even discuss Timothy Dalton. I don't know, Ana. Dalton's tenure had a few moments. License to Kill was a decent flick. Of course, I think any Bond movie is better than most of what's in theatres today (especially teenage vampire movies... )

I gotta say that I'm surprised that Craig and Brosnan are currently beating out Connery in the poll. Typically, when I've seen this type of poll on other sites, Connery has won in a walk...

I voted for Connery. Being part Scottish, I guess I'm partial.
Brosnan would have taken over for Roger Moore, but he was committed to his then TV series Remington Steele, as I recall.
Here's some trivia for Bond fans: the late actor Stephen Boyd, best known for playing Messala in Ben Hur, was the original choice to play James Bond in Dr. No. He turned down the offer, which then went to Sean Connery, who accepted, and the rest, as they say, is movie history.

Roger Moore with Sean Connery a very close second.
