Personally, I'd threaten to burn the whole place down.
Right on. Nothing says "fraternal correction" better than arson. ;) Well, it's my take on it.

"THE LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 26:1)
"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome
"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

I would debate them right back. I almost always carry a copy of my Douay Rheims New Testament in my car and have some good explaining skills. And tell them that if they complained, they were being deceptive and dishonest; engaging in form of devious sin that the Devil encourages. It would be the truth; they may not bear to hear it at the time, however, they may later in time.

I carry the D-R in my jacket pocket at all times, and know the Bible very well (normally though, if one approaches me, I use their Bible). When they try to ambush me, they cannot get away until they are speechless and confused. Unfortunately, no matter my knowledge and will, I cannot change their choices. They prefer to be obstinate than admit that their doctrine is false.

Of course, they would prefer their own obstinacy, then see the error of their ways. Ne'er a papist should know the Word of God better than they; for would it be show, they would fain soon admit it; even to perdition's depths.

What an awesome opportunity you had! Did you get them all to discuss the truth and meaning of the Gospel of John Chapter 6 (where He says that unless you eat His flesh you have no part of Him)? What about Revelations 11:19 and 12:1 (this is an awesome combination because before the scriptures were divided into chapter and verse, it would be clear that the Virgin Mary was the New Ark of the Covenant)? I would have jumped at the opportunity!! You can be sure the Holy Spirit planted you right then and right there to bear witness to the truth. Hope you lived up to the challenge!

I would mark down the date of his birthday/anniversary and make plans to be "out of town" next year.
I like this idea.

Or invite him over to your house, packed full of trads who know their stuff.....? Payback's fairplay in this case. School 'em!

When they start their Bible Study, just kneel down and pull out your Rosary. Nothing bothers Protestants more than anything Mary - especially the Rosary.

Your problem is, you need to take a firmer hand with the wife. After about 5 minutes, you should have stood up, headed toward the door, stopped about halfway there, looked back at her and said, "Are you coming?" and then kept going. She would've gotten the message, and known who wears the pants in the family.
Women are a lot like dogs. They just need to be whacked on the nose with a rolled up newspaper once in awhile and they'll learn. Metaphorically speaking of course.
Are you still in the seminary, Doc? Because with that kind of sensitivity, you might be more suited to marriage...
