For those still addicted to EU2, try For the Glory.
I only gave in and purchased EU3 after having lost my original EU2 disc to loaning it to a friend and having lost my second EU2 disc to some sort of black magic that keeps in from working... What is For the Glory? What time period and such? EU3 is only like 10 dollars on amazon, but I am hardly home to use it the desktop and they are notoriously resistant to be playing on the laptop alas my brief time with EU2 is all I get I don't have a desktop. I only have two laptops, and I play EU3 on one of them. I only played EU2 on my other laptop - I've never played either on a desktop.

I think the problem with EU2 is that it was not Vista compatible, EU3 should be able to work it then. Then I should check it out then. But I think in a previous laptop of mine I had trouble installing it as well and that was a pre-vista format

well I broke down and brought EU3 as an early Christmas to myself. Well probably the only present to myself. IT is so expensive to be a nerd, I feel like they jacked up the prices of dvd's

With all the patches and the AGCEEP mod on, EU3 is quite fun to play.

"THE LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 26:1)
"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome
"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

AGCEEP?
Who have you played as lately, Vetus?
Netherlands (starting as Brabant) Russia (starting as Muscowy or Lithuania) Austria I've also tried and managed to form Germany starting with Brandenburg and to form Italy starting with Savoy. But these were all in For the Glory's AGCEEP.

I've managed to vassalize Brittany and Koeln. Pretty fun so far - can't wait to start colonizing!
