Well if I had thrown something out about Christian modesty...you'd be on to something.  Unfortunately, I have not, and have given a vigorous defense of Christian modesty as opposed to Pharisaical madesty.

and the rest of the article is equally ridiculous.  The dress described here is not immodest necessarily, it may be inappropriate for Mass, that's all.  Her husband and son seem like they be detracted no matter where they are....maybe she should use some of ABL's advice and wear some makeup.


In the 10 years that I have attended various TLMs I have never seen immodest dress (in the sexy sense....only on the shapeless yuk side) and  I have only ever seen ONE girl dressed inappropriately.  That was at the FSSP.  It was probably just a wardrobe malfunction....using little sister's clothes or whatever.....And I have never seen immodest dress in any NO I attended previous to 10 years ago....

You are confused... pharisaical modesty is not basic traditional Christian modesty and neither is your view of it.

That tennis player's skirt is too short, doesn't matter if the other players wear worse.  But she's in the world, so I'm not as concerned about her.

Seriously, talk to your priest and get your head screwed on straight.  Your advocating that's ok  for Catholics to wear scandalous clothing is confusing to those who don't have a good sense of modesty and frustrating to those of us who do.

I'm never confused....the rest of your post is a lol in light of the fact that the tennis player's skirt is NOT too short and I have never advocated for anyone...Catholic or otherwise to wear scandalous clothing....I have come out strongly against folks that have a strong false sense of modesty...apparently you are one of these folks in light of your comment about the tennis player.


Until you can debunk my volumes about this stuff....really, what more is there to say except that you have a really strongly held opinion based on opinion...
