Horrible Monday Night game. What a stomping.

"It is questionable whether the proper functions of Catholics is to hunt down, "expose" and condemn Catholics they suspect of undue rigidity, disobedience or "material schism"; especially while giving support to a Vatican ecumenical campaign which addresses heretics and actual Schismatics as "separated brethren", Jews as "people of the covenant" and Muslims as "people of God". This is part of the overall contradiction (or inconsistency) that permeates the "conservative" mentality. Cloaked in a pledged loyalty to all things "whatsoever" emanating from the Holy See, many "conservatives" will go beyond the measures taken by the Church leaders, or even disagree with their actual positions. The Hawaii "excommunications" were an obvious example but others can be seen. "Conservatives" denounce as "Schismatic" all those who set foot in SSPX chapels while the Vatican embraces the Schismatics in China. "Conservatives" deny any significant change at the Second Vatican Council while the Pope celebrates the enormity and impact of the changes. "Conservatives" seek the conversion of the Eastern "Orthodox" while the Vatican promises not to "proselytize" them. "Conservatives" deride American bishops while the Pope appoints and promotes the same ones." -Peter Miller

"Tolerance is the last virtue of a depraved society When an immoral society has blatantly and proudly violated all the commandments, it insists upon one last virtue, tolerance for its immorality. It will not tolerate condemnation of its perversions. It creates a whole new world in which only the intolerant critic of intolerable evil is evil." -H. Gibson

Horrible Monday Night game. What a stomping.

Wasn't it though.

It wasn't that bad until the fourth quarter. Miami ran more plays, made four more first downs, had 135 more yards of offense, and had the ball over four minutes more than New England. It was the 4-to-0 turnover ratio that did them in.

"It preaches that not only in civil affairs, which is not Our concern here, but also in religion, God has given every individual a wide freedom to embrace and adopt without danger to his salvation whatever sect or opinion appeals to him on the basis of his private judgment.  The apostle Paul warns us against the impiety of these madmen" (Pope Leo XII, Ubi Primum, n. 12).

"Likewise, peace is rooted in respect for religious freedom, which is a fundamental and primordial aspect of the freedom of conscience of individuals and of the freedom of peoples.  It is important that everywhere in the world every person can belong to the religion of his choice and practise it freely without fear" (Pope Benedict XVI, Address to Five New Ambassadors, 18 May 2006).

I thought the whole second half was a little rough.

No one cries for the men who permanently damage their brains FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT.

Not when their getting paid 25 million$ for it. Dont you have a quilt to knit or your panties to wash or something. And we dont watch it to see people get hurt that is what a blood sport is so leave us alone. There I've said my piece now you can go back to washing your nylons or painting your nails etc...

Luke 9:11-14.

What do the miracle of the feeding of the 5 thou have to do with this? Shrug Huh?

Wrong passage.  The one about the Pharisee and the publican praying together.

Rather, you are the Pharisees for condemning me for suggesting that some sports are bloodsports and should be avoided.

Making a new thread would be pointless.
