Week 1 is almost in the books.  How did your guys do?

The Packers started with a rough win, but a win nonetheless.  I'm not sure if I'm more excited about that or Betty Favre's loss.  (Speaking of which, where are those Minnesota fans from last year?)

Thoughts?  Predictions?

Would Jesus observe a bloodsport like football?

I was wondering why everyone was wearing a Ravens jersey today.  Including my dentist.

Ravens?  Shouldn't it be the Redskins?

I was in places today that were about equidistant from Baltimore and Washington, so there were sure to be some Ravens fans.  What makes someone choose one over the other is a phenomenon that I have not yet been able to comprehend.

Are there any sports you're ok with?

Yes, sports that do not directly result in the injury of human or animal participants as a matter of course, except when the contest is intended solely to improve an individual's skill for a practical purpose and not for entertainment (such as sparring to improve self-defense techniques).

The following are likely sinful to indulge in:
American football (full contact)
Boxing
Violent wrestling (but not traditional wrestling)
Cockfighting
Auto racing
Hockey

Guys get hurt in every sport.  What about baseball, basketball, soccer, track & field?
