Hats!  (REAL hats, not baseball caps)  Who wears them?  What types do you wear?  Where do you wear them?  With what do you wear them?

For the ladies:  thoughts on men who wear classy, old-fashioned hats?

HK's classy style has led me to once again consider wearing hats, I'm thinking about acquiring a couple of nice hats using some Christmas money - I'm thinking about a fedora (of course!), a bowler, and one of those little caps that is like a less poofy newsboy.  Thoughts?  Advice?  Thanks!   Smile

I ground my faith upon Jesus Christ, and by Him I steadfastly believe to be saved, as is taught in the Catholic Church through all Christendom, and promised to remain with Her unto the world's end, and hell gates shall not prevail against it: and by God's assistance I mean to live and die in the same faith; for if an angel come from heaven, and preach any other doctrine than we have received, the Apostle biddeth us not to believe him. Therefore, if I should follow your doctrine, I should disobey the Apostle's commandment.

The answer to your questions is: me; fedoras and bowlers; everywhere; and my head.  Here are a couple now.  My Bogie fedora's around somewhere.

I think I shared a pic of one these in the chat room, but I can post one of these when I get home...I'm too lazy to do it now before I leave the office.   LOL

This style seems to be pretty popular with the types who wear hats around here - and they don't see to be too hipster, lol.  I definitely don't want to come off as hipster...but I don't think there's much danger of that!   ;D

I'm a bit of a dandy so hats are an essential piece of my wardrobe. Various fedoras for more formal occasions, tilted at a rakish angle of course, with various feathers I've procured stuck in the band. I have a few styles of flat caps with uses varying from yard work to a date. I also posses two or three bowlers and a number of other hats that are rather hard to describe something like a fedora but not quite. I posses more hats than I do shoes. As far as what the fairer sex thinks of my head wear? No woman is worth pursuing if she doesn't appreciate hats, some find them odd. Honestly, the gay crowd likes them more than the women I've met thus far. Something to keep in mind if you are so inclined that is...which considering the forum is no one!  LOL

I think the "flat cap" maybe the one I was referring to that is "not as poofy as a newsboy".

Are the ones that are similar to a fedora either Homburgs or Pork Pies?  Those both look nice!  Smile
