And seriously why is there so many dudes commenting on this thread? What do you care if we cover our heads or not?

I haven't followed the thread, but I was curious about it.

However, this post is strange.

Are you seriously asking what guys would care about the appearances of women in church?

I can give three:

* We often sit behind y'all
* We are not usually blind
* Girls are usually pretty
* Hair is usually a part of being pretty

EDIT: I did not edit anything above this, but I would like to add "Thinking about hair makes us forget how to count...apparently".

In any event, thanks in large part to feminism, men are remaining single or staying away from American women all together in favor of more sensible groups of women.

Translation:  we are losers who can't get women we know to marry us, so we find women in other countries who are too desperate to move to the States to care  LOL

Also, if a woman doesn't really have any hair, does she need a head covering?  Hmmm...

Only if the hair is blue!

I believe in freedom of speech.  Even men should be allowed to express their opinions.  Shocking isn't it?  :o

No, it's more mundane than that, women find the more easy-going  type-b and c guys that weren't interesting enough when they were more fertile to help raise their bastards. Even so, most men don't really want to put up with raising another man's bio-material, so that doesn't work out well either.

Anyway, it's a sociological issue related to headcovering, since women typically want to drag everything but what you're talking about in a conversation in order to lay blame, it's hard to stay on task.

Basically, the injunction to wear head covering is in the bible, it's an Apostolic Mandate, which means that it was commanded by the Apostles to do and there's no reason, aside from the misgivings of some suffragettes and liberal scripture scholars, that it's no longer in effect.

What's really amusing is to hear "trad" women who refuse to wear head covering for many of the same issues, complaining about others who fail to obey what the Church teaches.

People are funny that way.

Oh, and, part of the reason for the head covering in the first place was to distinguish the good women from the prostitutes.

Now that most of the women in our culture are, well, less than morally enticing, let's say, it makes courtship a difficult task for the male.  If that rare male who wants a virtuous girl, he's got a tough road to follow...

In any event, it's always the same bevy of women, the same KINDS of women, chatting it up after Mass while other people are trying to pray, not wearing their headgear... and woe unto you if you explain that to them.  If you're looking for humility there, forget it.  These women are as vindictive as Salome and couldn't care less about other people, objectivity, truth, beauty, any of that, it's all about them, after all, but that's what this power game that women have been enticed into playing by the multi-culti types who run marketing firms and education, so poisonous...

You'd think a priest would know how to handle it too, but they often don't.  I only knew of one priest who knew how to tell women off, and he's gone, so I guess we'll have to hope for the next generation.

Augustine, are you talking about trad women?  I can believe that what you say accurately describes some trad women, but I can't believe it is anything but an extremely tiny minority.  I don't see why they would be "trads" otherwise.

You'd probably be surprised.  Many men aren't really aware of what Catholic women, trad or otherwise, think, they're often not listening and paying attention, for various reasons.  You've got to filter stuff out, right?  But I'm actually describing a particular set of women in a particular place, but I've seen the behaviors everywhere.  It's part of human nature, and some of it is as easy to spot as a http://www.louisvuitton.com/ bag.
