There are more women here, percentage-wise, than any other place I've ever been on the Internet.

A lot of women don't report their sex on signing up because of internet weirdos. So, the only conclusion that can be made is that there are more people reporting their sex as male rather than female.

I'm wondering whether we lost a lot of ladies when icecream left. I'm also thinking many ladies are busy working to build up their dowries so they can marry Vetus. Just a couple theories.
Actually, I think the ratio has been getting more even recently. Unless I'm mistaken, it was close to 3:1 earlier this year.

My fave theory thus far.

It's normal.
Most women are not interested in discussion and conflict, religious or otherwise. An internet forum is a quintessential battlefield, so it's likely to attract more men than women.
We live in a man's world after all, religion included. While the existence of female theologians is technically possible, it's also not very likely. I'd expect women to be pious and submissive to their husbands and fathers but not much more. I'd personally welcome more women in FE for some chit chat but, in the end, boys will be boys and girls will be girls.

"THE LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 26:1)
"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome
"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

I think that I am atypical. I also think that a minority of men are interested in this topic. In my experience it interests few men and fewer women.
