Or maybe the devil just doesn't want the breviary printed.

This, I can guarantee.  I have said some uncharitable things about Baronius, but I will support this worthy endeavour and will purchace a set.

We have taken the decision that the Roman Breviary will be sold exclusively to individual customers by Baronius Press and not sold via any other retailers or vendors.

Yes, cut out the middle-people and keep all of  the profits in house.    #£££££$$$$$

If it means more funds to work on their other forthcoming titles EG The Knox Bible, then that's fine.

That is a perfectly legitimate business decision. However, I don't think I share your seeming optimism here. Another way this could be decoded is a) Baronius promised that the new Breviary should be in our hands on the Feast of the Assumption. That's coming up pretty quick, and b) this could be a graceful attempt to let suppliers getting inquiries know they currently have no copies to supply normal distribution channels.

I was talking to an SSPX priest on Memorial Day, He said that he will believe it when he sees it. He also told me that Baronius asked Angelus Press to not publish their already finished 1962 Missal, so they can put out their own '62 Missal. This delayed the Breviary for at least 7 years. But, they seemed more concerned that they would lose the Missal business, and put the Divine Office on hold.

I did receive an email from Baronius just a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was the long awaited pre-order form. Unfourtunately, it just mentioned that some sold out titles were available again.

Question: Is there any chance that they will develop and publish an annual Ordo for this set?  So that we can have a handy reference confirming which pages for which days, etc.?  As it stands now with my Diurnale, I'm wrong about 25% of the time and usually end up having to check the online Divinium Officium site to find the answer, then backwards-find it in my Diurnale.

I'm thinking about a little booklet similar to the one they put out every year for the LoTH for a few bucks.

Great question.  I've wondered the same thing.  I bought the FSSP version and it would help to have an everyday reference.  There is one available for the LOTH and I use it daily for references even though I have recited it for 19 years.

Offering special prayers this first Friday for the timely availability of the Baronius breviary.

I sincerely hope and pray that we will be able to order (and receive) it very shortly.  The Devil is really, really going to hate all the new people praying the Office thanks to this worthy and frustrating endeavour.

Question: Does anyone know the particulars about who is behind Baronius?  It's quite an interesting company.  These people appear to have undertaken significant financial risk to bring forward traditional and important publications.

That would be awesome.  Having started out with the LOTH, I find my Collegeville very confusing sometimes.

I'm so afraid that the head quarters might have been damaged from the riots. O:

There is no way the Breviary will be in the hands of patrons by the Assumption.

The wait goes on...... :(

I'm going to sell my LOTH and some other prayer books to raise funds and in the mean time I'm going to be praying the Little Office
