so many years and we're finally here.   Smile

When did y'all first hear about BP's project of making the Breviary?   I barely heard about it two years ago.

Probably soon after it was first announced.  I purchased a missal from Baronius not long before SP came out and I checked back at the website after that to see what else was being printed.  I probably read about the breviary in the upcoming titles section.

I am considering in the future maybe spending some money, but for the moment, I'm just interested in seeing if Baronius will sell separately the 'how to' booklet that is included.  I have a Collegeville set I never use.

You can probably contact them directly about it, see what they have to say.

Jacob- The "how to" book is probably this (or an adaptation of it)

We're not "here" until the breviary is in hand.  That's the lesson learned from BP.  I agree with the above poster: until I see a button on their web page that says "Buy Now", I won't hold my breath.

I think BP should have said nothing about the project until they had it approved and in the warehouse.  This is crazy, it's now finished but it could be 6-8 weeks.  I'm sorry but this is beginning to border on the absurd.  I remember the Farnborough monks printed the monastic breviary and had the project done in 1/4 of the time.  There is such a demand, print the darn thing.  Yes mistakes will be found.  Do a re-print and make more money.  I'm sure they've proofed every sentance.  Ugg.  With so many people wanting this, I just don't understand all of the delays.  I remember a movie called Pure Luck with Martin short.  If something bad could happen, it did.  This whole BP breviary project has had everything go wrong that could.  Some of the excuses have been so bizare that it's hard to believe, even when i know its true.  Sorry.  I had to rant. Mad

I heard about it in 2007.  A lifetime ago.

It certainly feels that way.  I remember hearing about the new translation of the Roman Missal and just waiting and waiting for 2011's Advent to roll around
