Can't you learn the exercises you need to do and do them yourself?

"THE LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 26:1)

"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome

"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

Exercising by myself requires significantly more self-discipline than attending classes and I have never before been able to keep it up on my own consistently.  Also some exercises require specialized equipment that I can only access at the gym.  I can probably avoid the Zumba class (which is the way I am leaning after considering the comments here), but I don't think it is realistic to stop going to the gym completely.

That's what I thought;  you like the group activity.  I wonder if The YWCA is just as bad as any place else.  I would ask around at my local church.

I have exercised at many different places over the years and they all seem about the same to me, in terms of playing secular music in the background

A lot of the places I like to go have lousy music and pictures around.  It's just one of the things they do at places that guys like to hang out at.  There doesn't seem to be any equivalent to that at church.  So, I try to  keep it clean.  Most guys who get to know me, lay off the cursing God stuff and the seriously lewd talk.  Most, that is  LOL  I guess some guys can't resist pulling somebody's chain.  Still, it does seem like it can drag me down.  So, sometimes I blow it off.  I guess if I let it go enough, I'll start wanting to look at and flirt with girls I know I shouldn't.  Maybe that's the best way to judge it.  If it starts making you want to sin, more than usual, then it's probably getting to you.

It's a trade off though.  Not getting exercise would definitely make me more susceptible to all kinds of temptations.

I would say since it's only women, it's fine, but if you're uncomfortable or feel silly doing it, then why put yourself through that?

"Tenthly, one should pour tea into the cup first. This is one of the most controversial points of all; indeed in every family in Britain there are probably two schools of thought on the subject. The milk-first school can bring forward some fairly strong arguments, but I maintain that my own argument is unanswerable. This is that, by putting the tea in first and stirring as one pours, one can exactly regulate the amount of milk, whereas one is liable to put in too much milk if one does it the other way round."

That is exactly it, Andrew.  There are good reasons to be doing the exercise but the circumstances are not ideal.

That is pretty much the conclusion I have come to as I've been thinking over the responses on this thread.  It is probably fine for many other women, but it is not something that I should  be doing.

Working out alone is not easy.  I used to pray a lot, just to get through it, especially "cardio" LOL But, it does save a lot of time and money!  It gets easier.

Yes, it isn't so bad doing weights/resistance on my own, but a class helps a lot for cardio days.  I checked the schedule and there is a cycle class on the day I was doing Zumba.  The time is less convenient but it can be made to work.
