Sorry, devotion. An Ave for you.

I wonder, though...is this behavior out of character for him? Sometimes people mock things only when it hits too close to home. Maybe the Mass got him on an important level. Let him think on it awhile?

Ack, maybe I'm just an insufferable optimist.

Actually I think it's a good point, and a reasonable psychological hypothesis.

If he mocks Jesus and the Church, it's only because Jesus and the Church matter.  If he was truly indifferent, he would have gone to Mass for you because of Mother's day and then his mind would have been on sports or dinner or whatever.

Devotion, what do you mean by a "safe" apartment?

Are you safe?

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable,
most incomprehensible and ineffable Name of God
be forever praised, blessed, loved, adored
and glorified in Heaven, on earth,

After some discussion last night, I found out his mocking was a way of dealing with him being afraid of it, more or less.

Donna--I am safe right now...what I mean is that our lease runs out in just a few weeks and generally to get into an apartment in a good part of town, you need to be looking a few months ahead of time.  A lot of places you can get into last minute are vacant for a reason.

Thank you for your continued prayers.

Edited to add: I will be throwing myself into a frenzied state of prayer...may God and the Blessed Mother guide my heart and my decisions.
