I ground my faith upon Jesus Christ, and by Him I steadfastly believe to be saved, as is taught in the Catholic Church through all Christendom, and promised to remain with Her unto the world's end, and hell gates shall not prevail against it: and by God's assistance I mean to live and die in the same faith; for if an angel come from heaven, and preach any other doctrine than we have received, the Apostle biddeth us not to believe him. Therefore, if I should follow your doctrine, I should disobey the Apostle's commandment.

What if an older married gentleman wants to use Viagra and his wife doesn't want him to?  Anything wrong there?

Why wouldn't she want him to?

After menopause, production of sex hormones goes way down.  Lack of estrogen can make intercourse painful for women.  Women can take estrogen replacement but most are justifiably reluctant to take much estrogen because it's associated with various cancers.

Men also have an age-related decline in production of sex hormones and go through "male menopause" characterized by hot flashes and sweating, and, quite often, ED.

Old age is not for sissies.

This.

I've always thought that this is because the primary aim of marital relations is past for couples of that age.

I'm sick of seeing Viagra and Tampon commercials every two seconds. Whatever happened to propriety.

That's nothing...I have actually seen women's vibrators being advertised on TV.

 :(

Well, condoms are commonplace too on ads. Its only a matter of time until the subjects of commercials are gay or lesbian couples, etc. There are no boundaries to this anarchy.

It disappeared with society's propriety in the 1960s.

Sell your TV and don't buy another one.

Best advice you've ever given.

I hang around on economics forums where investment bankers and other financial services professionals hang out to discuss poiltiics and economics.  These people are pretty street smart, and technically smart though not of course particularly religious or moral, (they basically invent their moral code as required).  They want the best for their families from a material perspective.  They want their children to get a good education and a good worthwhile University degree so they can be materialially well off and ideal marry someone suitable who they will stay with.  Obviously there is a pragmatic side to this since divorce is expensive, bitter and often the grandparents need to beg or bribe or bailout to continue to see their grandchildren if the estranged partner is resistant to the idea.

It is INTERESTING how many of these fairly young, otherwise worldly, forum posters (mostly men) can see that TV today in Britain is utter leftist, mindrottting trash which is a huge waste of time and demotivates young people into idiots.  And US TV has been FAR worse than that for 30 years.

If the wiser children of the world can see this then there is absolutely no excuse for anyone who is a Traditional Catholic of any description to keep a TV in the house, connected to an aerial.  The evil thing about TV is the broadcast nature of it and the fact that you are allowing all your exposure to news and analysis to come from one place or a few places at best.   There is so much free entertainment and education media on the internet and your old TV set is so easy to connect to a Wii box, laptop or other internet portal that there is no good reason to keep broadcasted TV in your home today.

A good friend of mine has a blog about his problems. He managed to cure them. I would say that he's definitely a devout christian.
