I think there are two things that can happen with all the modern innovations that make everyday tasks easier.
1) It makes us lazy.
2) We use the extra time we are given to do other things and actually get more done. Like instead of doing all the laundry by hand, a college student can study while a machine does it for him.
indeed. I love my modern technology, The real trick is to stay away from point 1 and use our God given intelligence and inventiveness as a race to better ourselves, not condemn ourselves. |

I'm working in Texas with a good crew. 100+ heat and the boys are getting after it. You just have to be out rural or fly over country.
Ah but you should see them southern boys run for the mason-dixon when temp falls below zero with the wind blowing and a couple feet of snow....... ;D I've seen the cold break many tough guys. |

You're welcome Bak, I didn't realize he was an SSPX'er but now it makes sense, I browse the other site occasionally and sometimes they have some good nuggets like this. I would love to read good stuff like that from more clergy but it's getting rare these days. |

I for one, am thankful that there are some people who still provide links. Staring at a humongous wall text is so compltely overwhelming and hard on the eyes. Blogs aren't a whole lot better but for some reason it seems like they are. |

I've seen the cold break many tough guys. Below zero with blowing wind? Shows a high level of intelligence to get the hell out of that. Honestly, I like working in cold over working in 100F. It is stinking freaking hot man. Sun just bakes down on your brain. Efficiency drops off too. We should be mechanically complete tomorrow. Passed hydro already. The crunch is off after that. I fly out Saturday. Pray that I don't crash the car on the ride home from the airport. Hopefully my wife will bring one of the kids along for the ride. |
