Sharpened to cut you down,
Ready to cut you down.

The Kreeft article never takes on any serious objections.  It is ok.

Evidently there was a debate of article(s) between a James Larson and Michael Davies over this very topic.  It appears that Davies took a view similar to mine, that then Cardinal Ratzinger did not write anything heretical, though his writings are poorly thought out.  Larson evidently brings up examples of material heresy, but does not accuse Ratzinger of being an heretic.

Here is the link (article 5 is where I got that awesome Pius X quote):  http://www.waragainstbeing.com/

If anyone knows more about this dispute, please post a link.  I am especially interested in what Davies had to say about personalism.

"And who do you say that I Am?"
"That one simple question, whether Jesus of Nazareth was God Incarnate, becomes increasingly decisive between people, as history moves forward. .... The answer to this question cuts into human ties and seems to reflect even on the nature of inanimate things.  What if:  all that is folly in the eyes of the Greeks, and scandal in the eyes of the Jews, ... is Truth?"

And there was no doubt about it -- towards Him we had been running, or from Him we had been running away, but all the time He had been in the center of things.
