Luke and Leia were meant to be brother and sister by Empire Strikes Back. This is why Yoda says "there is another skywalker" and this is why Leia uses the force to find Luke at the end.
Luke was meant to have a sister, but it was not Princess Leia until Return of the Jedi. Otherwise, that kiss at the beginning of Empire would be beyond even Lucas-levels of wrong. If Lea and Luke aren't related why can Luke and Leia communicate through the force at the end of Empire Strikes Back? Also, remember in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indy and his father both share a relationship with Dr. Schneider. So Lucas is apparently not that squeamish about this sort of thing.

They didn't really communicate. Luke was presumably just using the Force to speak into her mind. In the Indiana Jones movie, they didn't "share" a relationship with her; Jr. just happened to be "the next man" Now stop trying to ruin my favorite movie for me

Where have all the nice guys gone?
I married one. Me too. Never dated or wanted to date a bad boy, though. You just get your rebellion out by messing up our count to 10! I just want to challenge you. If not for those who mess up the count, it would get boring and the thread would die.

Am I messed up for always only being attracted to guys who do good works? And not even being interested until I see evidence of such? Then again, I was never the "physical attraction first" sort of person, and when, back in high school, friends would ask what famous guys I liked, I never had an answer. I was always too "end goal" focused -- I wanted to be married to a morally upright, good man who treated me well. Wouldn't happen with a famous womanizing sleezebag, and this was before Joe Jonas.

In my experiece, it's better not to care what the girl thinks. That doesn't mean be obnoxious, but do things on your own terms. No need to jump at every opportunity to do something "sweet." Pick your spots. Another big one is don't take rejection personally. She's not your only hope. There are plenty of girls out there. Just pick another one.

There's no such thing as "same sex marriage." Marriage is between one man and one woman. Period.
We are what you once were. We believe what you once believed. We worship as you once worshipped. If you were right then, we are right now. If we are wrong now, you were wrong then.
There is nothing more necessary to the survival of the Church than the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass; to hide it from sight is to shake the foundations of the Church. The whole Christian, religious, priestly life rests on the Cross, on the Holy Sacrifice of the Cross renewed on the altar. --- Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre
I beg you to pray for priests, most especially those on the road to Hell. They do not enter there alone, but with thousands of others that have followed them.

Oh, well thanks for jumping on me and me only.
This is nothing personal. I have seen some of your other posts on other threads and have no problem with them or what you said in those posts. I honestly didn't take issue with anything until you made that comment. And that is all that I am addressing here, nothing more. It was inappropriate, scandalous, and doesn't belong on a Catholic forum, to say nothing of in the mind of innocent forum members who come here to escape that sort of perversion in the world. We all make mistakes. You aren't any less of a human being created in the image and likeness of God because you made a bad decision. But the job of everyone here should be to try to get each other to Heaven. That means that, regardless of who it is, something needs to be said. I didn't jump on you and you only. I react the same way to everyone who speaks inappropriately here and I would hope that others would do the same to me. I cannot provide the latest example because the thread was just deleted by the moderator, but here is another recent example. Fair Enough. Though I didn't intend for that to be dirty; I just think it's an absurd thought for someone to be both a man and a woman at the same time. O.K., well I am glad you didn't intend it the way that it read. Assuming that others understood that Someone1776 was not referring to hermaphrodites, however, your statement implies what you didn't actually intend. I am not the only one who read it that way. I also think it's unfair to assume that I meant it in a sexual way. Even if I did, I don't see how anyone can be attracted to hermaphrodites. That's something that should be taken up with a doctor or priest. How is a birth defect a "perversion of the world"? I don't think Someone1776 was talking about hermaphrodites, though perhaps that is what he meant. It seemed to me that what he was saying was that both men and women have it hard, not that people who are both man and woman at the same time have it hard, though I'm sure that is also true. According to this interpretation, then, your comment seemed to be referring to ____ rather than hermaphrodites. I am glad that you did not mean it this way, and I apologize for thinking that you did, but I think you'll understand why my interpretation of it was reasonable. It seems likely that others would interpret it that way, too. EDITED

This...except for the part where you disagree with me.

Emphasis mine. Goodness, no! Yes, that is how we read it . . . hence the reason I (we) reacted the way I (we) did. I'm relieved to know that you did not mean it this way. Someone1776 used the plural of man and woman, indicating that he was talking about genders (the social roles of males and females) in society. If he had said "it sucks to be both man and woman" (in the singular) then I would probably have interpreted it the same way you meant it.

Perhaps we need the help of an English major.
What would have been the proper way to say it? It's sucks to be both a man and a woman?
