I was going to say this is a stupid thread but then all I could think about was I HATE ANNE HATHAWAY HATE HATE HATE HATE.

Simmer. She is cute but a hypocritical harlot.

You mean to say that you dislike her, but wish for the salvation of her soul and for the best for her person.

You mean to say, "Oh, whoops, what am I doing posting in the women's forum?"

Maybe now is a good time for regime change. I'm tired of opening thread in the women's forums and seeing one idiotic comment after another written by men.

My understanding is that the "about women" forum is about women, but men may post.

If you don't want to see idiotic comments written by men, why are you on FE?

 LOL

I know the rules allow men to post in the women's section and vice-versa. Sometimes it just gets to be too much, though, and I need to let off a little steam. Seriously, I don't see a woman posting a list of "Men who claim to be Christian but are actually adulterating womanizers" in the men's section. This thread is just stupid.

"Tenthly, one should pour tea into the cup first. This is one of the most controversial points of all; indeed in every family in Britain there are probably two schools of thought on the subject. The milk-first school can bring forward some fairly strong arguments, but I maintain that my own argument is unanswerable. This is that, by putting the tea in first and stirring as one pours, one can exactly regulate the amount of milk, whereas one is liable to put in too much milk if one does it the other way round."

Hilary Clinton

Katharine Jefferts Schori

Anne Hathaway

Lady Gaga

Katy Perry

Megan Fox

JK Rowling

Stephenie Meyer

They can be baptized and practicing, but that does not mean they really believe in Christianity. It just means if they would put their religion on a survey, they would put that down.

I've only ever heard of three of these women. I'm so out of it.

Schori: Episcopalian woman "bishop" (elected to lead the Episcoplian "bishops" of the USA).
Anne Hathaway: actress
Katy Perry: "singer"
Megan Fox: "actress"
Stephanie Meyer: who is Stephanie Meyer?

Thank you.  Smile

So, I don't need celebrities to be my role model.  Just sayn.

Indeed, neither do I. But it would do society a whole lot of good if we had a high-profile person who lived her faith seriously.

Stephanie Myer isn't a Christian, she's a Mormon, which the Catholic Church doesn't count as Christianity.

But she belongs on the list, because the list of is women who would call themselves "Christian" whether or not they are, no?

My experience with Mormons is that they usually identify themselves primarily as "Mormon" or "LDS" not  "Christian".  But as I am not in the habit of reading Stephanie Myer interviews/bios/fan sites I don't really know what she would say about herself.

Stephanie Meyer claims to be an author.  LOL

But in my experience they definitely want to be considered Christians, they believe they are the "true" Christians even if they emphasize the name "LDS" (and now-a-days de-emphasize the name "Mormon").  Of course we cannot consider them Christians.
