Living the Spoiled Life

the mission is by far a superior story then lotr
the film is a masterpiece. and one the most beautiful films ever shot.
lotr cant compare or even come close. cgi and green screens are nothin when it comes to real deal filmmaking
(speakin o the movies)
the books were rather dull
and the mission certainly had its hard boiled parts

The Mission is an excellent movie...one of the best for both Jeremy Irons & De Niro.  And the soundtrack is very beautiful.  It is a great story of the road to redemption, true courage, and martyrdom.

"THE LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 26:1)

"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome

"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

I am not ready to forgive Laura yet but we shouldn't encourage her to jump out of windows (or give her this idea for the next plot twist).

LOL Ok, I guess that humor fits.

The turnip itself though, it's so...peasant. And rustic. Which suits me but not you! Maybe you're a closet commoner...!?

Lord of the Rings sucks.

I hereby formally declare you a heretic. If anyone disagrees let them be anathema.

"Laura" could be Quis for all we know.

Most of us (fortunately) didn't have any personal relationship with this fake internet persona so we don't need to "forgive" her or him. I never cared for the whole story anyway and I know many of you felt the same.

On the other hand, I still believe those who were personally involved with Laura's deception deserve an apology from her or Quis.
