I'm excited that Rosarium isn't going to be coddled for his mental deficiency anymore.
Yes, you can heap personal abuse on me now. God has for some reason decided that being charitable is optional.

I cannot understand why some people here think that nastiness is acceptable and even amusing.

One thing about our "diaspora" was that I spent some time on some other trad fora.  Several had a much nicer tone than FE.

Agreed. I don't feel this is the time or place for personal attacks on anyone. Whatever personal problems I had with members here previously are forgotten. I just wish people could have just a little bit of charity on a Catholic forum.

I fear that the forum's credibility will suffer permanently from this charade.

"THE LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 26:1)

"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome

"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

It is bad enough she is doing it in the first place without you cheering her on.

I don't mind her and I can't see dk's posts.

I'm glad it isn't bothering you but it bothers me to have FE turned into a recreation of Lord of the Flies.

Rosarium really doesn't strike me as the Piggy type. Maybe Simon.  Smile

Couldn't we do Lord of the Rings instead?

Only if I get to be Galadriel (at least on Wednesdays)!

"Oh, yes, Father."
"But supposing it didn't?"
He thought a moment and said, "I suppose it would be sort of raining spiritually, only we were too sinful to see it."

I think only the people involved in the charade have had their credibility shattered. And when we know the truth, if we ever do, we can just move on from that. Right now, forgiving their stupidity and (quite frankly) cruel games is the best we can do. The guilty know who they are.

I'll be Gollum.

Nobody likes us...they hates us...kill them when they are sleeping...

Erin will be...some girl. They were not important creatures in the story.

You will be a great Galadriel.  Have Mondays and Fridays too.

I was lurking in chat using a different name and found out the way that people talk about me when I'm not there.  That was pretty hurtful.

Quit being a baby. If you weren't so obnoxious people wouldn't talk about you that way.

That is why it hurt.  Because the criticisms had some validity.

This whole Laura thing was so glaringly obviously fake, I have no idea how so many people fell for it.

I fell for it.  I liked Laura a lot and was very sad when she "died".  It was not the least bit obvious to me that it was fake.

Maybe I am naive and gullible but I fell for it too. But honestly, no lasting damage was done. Sure I said some prayers for Laura at Mass for the repose of her soul but since it seems Laura may be a real person she does need prayers so I doubt those prayers are wasted.

I didn't fall for IT necessarily, but I did trust that Quis was looking out for us. For me it had more to do with trusting HIM rather than Laura or any of her personalities, none of which I really had contact with. But I think he did what he thought was best which is why I can't be angry with him even though I realize there are reasons to be.
