Just as I predicted when I heard of this dumb change...this kicking off at the 35 yard line has ruined one of the most exciting plays in football...the runback! Now almost every kicker can easily kick the ball into the endzone resulting in a touchback. The only reason they just don't put the ball on the 20 yard line and eliminate the kickoff is because of the possibility of an onside kick. All in the name of "safety."

I have an idea...if they want to improve safety and make sure no one gets hurt then just attach flags the wastes of the player and play flag football!! I am all for safety and reducing injuries but this goes way too far...it would be like telling a major league baseball pitcher that they can't pitch the balls any faster than 90MPH because it's too dangerous.

Ahhh, whatever.  They've ruined football?  Seems a little hyperbolic to me.

I think the real is dumb as hell, but the NFL is still the best game in town.

Maybe, but when it comes to football I still think the NFL has college beat any day of the week.

I can go downtown and watch the Wichita Wild arena football team.  Best game in town for only $35.  $85 for the best seats in the arena.

Agree with Walty.  College football is only for people who don't... live in a place important enough to have a pro team.

what.

Yeah, but do you really care who wins?  I'm not being facetious.  I just can't get into arena football because I have nothing invested in it.

Uh, kinda?  I live in Wichita, so I feel kinda obligated to cheer for them to win.  But do I cheer for them like I cheer for the Miami Dolphins, NY Rangers or Syracuse Basketball?  no, not even close.
