Why does Brother Nathaniel stay in the Russian Orthodox Church hasn't anyone ever told him he's in a schismatic church. While his message is good he seems eccentric.

Thanks for bringing this up Alaric, Have you had enough of the fight against the Jews? Or do you wish me to take up the same topic today? Even if I have already had much to say on it, I still think you want to hear the same thing again. The man who does not have enough of loving Christ will never have enough of fighting against those who hate Christ.

As for this... The Eastern Orthodox Church thinks that we are the schismatics. They can be very stubborn and won't really listen to Latin perspectives on anything. Try discussing the Filioque, Immaculate Conception, or Purgatory with one of them... Most of em won't have any of it. |

Brother Nathanael seems to have been associated with some very strange people in fringe Orthodox circles, including the notorious Fr. Panteleimon of Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Brookline, Massachusetts, the "Holy Orthodox Church in North America (HOCNA)", Dormition Skete in Buena Vista, Colorado, and the "Genuine Orthodox Church of North America". These people bear the same relationship to the mainstream Orthodox that the "Old Catholics" do to the real Catholics. I would stay away from him. |

He's absolutely an eccentric. And I dont' pay a whole lot of attention to everything he does for that reason and he's associated (at least from the reading I've done) with an... odd church.
But he's a voice, and under these particular circumstances his voice is spot on. I can get behind any particular thing that calls blasphemy for what it is.

My thoughts exactly. Brother Nathanael has a lot of good things to say but he is no Messiah. He endorses Ron Paul for the next President. Ron Paul has a lot of good things to say too. I mean to end the Fed, to end all support for Israel and to have a just war theory (only in defense) wouldn't just change the US in a big way, it would also change the opinion of the US all around the world. But libertarian policy scares the hell out of me.

Even though Brother Nathaniel is an eccentric I still like his explanation of many things. As for Ron Paul if you can live through Obama you can't possibly worry about Ron Paul, in fact Ron Paul would shake up the establishment some.
