You know, the majority of your diet should come from plants.  Additionally, for optimal health, at least 51% of each meal should be from raw plants.  Cooked foods cause an immune response, which results in inflammation.

Whenever I eat sushi and seaweed I feel very strong and have excellent workouts soon after.
My problem is the soy-sauce.
To much sodium.

"THE LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 26:1)

"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome

"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

I does seem odd, but I have read somewhere that the system uses almost all of the raw fish as protein and fat, and good fats are a source of energy and protein replaces the catabolic breakdown of proteins during an intense workout.

No.

It's weird that you eat sushi and "soon after" go and "have excellent workouts."

Sushi or Sashimi should never be eaten except accompanied by a minimum of six Sapporos, this ensures you will not work out after it. Case closed !

I was assimilated.  Resistance was futile.

It's true about the raw vs. cooked foods.  And about the vegetables, but I am by no means advocating veganism (the horror.)  Fill up half your plate with a big fat salad, about 1/3 with any delicious roasted animal of your choosing, and them maybe the rest with a well made bread or grain

As for fridays, I'm married to a non-catholic pure carnivore so I usually had to make seafood of some kind.  Though my favorite friday night dinners we called "bread dinner" (totally creative name, I know.)  We busted out the good olive oil, got a good loaf of crusty artisan bread, maybe cut up some cucumbers and tomatoes (and cheese, if I had it) and that's it.  Perfect.  Simple, no mess, and the kids would be surprisingly happy.

I hate you Paloma.

Ignorance is bliss, you know?

Sorry to drop a turd in your Top Ramen, but now you know....to never challenge my knowledge of obscure ingredients again   Sticking tongue out at you

Get instant dashi stock and make udon or soba noodles instead.
