Split from here" http://catholicforum.fisheaters.com/index.php/topic,3444199.0.htmlThe discussion on DADT ending sparked things around to how other faiths treat homosexuality. As a member of the ADF and a Druid I have no issue with gay marriage and my Church is fine with it, obviously the RCC isn't so now we seem to talking about how this can be squared away.

I think there is a lot more that we need to square away in reconciling Catholicism and Druidism before we address gay marriage.

"THE LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 26:1)
"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome
"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

Well yeah that is what it is considered by law. Although we tend to use Grove and Temple. Squared away might be the wrong term... But yeah, broke this off to keep from derailing the DADT thread.

In the spirit of ecumenism, of course.

Well in that case! Sodomy is wrong. This is known from the natural law, and is confirmed by the teaching of the Church as well. Do you have specific questions about why the Church teaches this? We will be happy to answer them.
