OK, so shins and sleeveless shirts are brought up. SCG and I both gave examples of what we were talking about. Each example is tasteful and modest. Then you bring up Daisy Dukes, which are neither. Why would you think that? Is it the fault of the examples we gave or your own mind? You don't have to answer, I am just pointing this out. We are talking about modest expressions of clothing and you brought up something gross.

All I asked was why it's much harder for women to cover up as much as men typically do.  All of this runaround I was getting was unnecessary.

Someone suggested that I get spiritual direction if shins turn me on, and I replied that I thought I'd probably be directed to accept women in Daisy Dukes.

If I am dressing modestly, why should I change  to fit your parameters?

And most trad women I know do cover up as much as the typical man does, if not more.

I'm not telling anyone how to dress.

What do you mean, "harder"? I'm not following you at all, although it's possible I missed something. Are you suggesting that women must have their entire body, save ankles and above the neck, covered?

You don't think there's a difference between calf-length skirts and Daisy Dukes?

I'm not telling people to do anything, I'm only asking a question.

No.  Why is there much opposition to the idea of covering up so much?  I am not telling anyone how to dress.

Argh!  No, I never said that!

Because a woman doesn't have to, to be dressed modestly.

Probably because it's not necessary to be so covered up unless you have a vocation to the religious life.

You never see a sound man at a black tie affair in a tuxedo with short pants.

I have never seen a woman at a black tie affair wearing daisy dukes.

What is your point?
