This is faith in action.

How can any Catholic belittle or chide this real world demonstration in defense of Christ's Holy Face?

In terms of what effect this is, consider the following possibilities: For the degenerates in the gallery, this could be the only chance they have at turning away from their lives in favor of becoming Christians.  It forces those watching to look into the eyes of what they are doing.

Most will probably only sink deeper in their violence to God- and they will meet their reward.  And similarly, the graces made available to those witnessing for Christ are that much more special.

good for them. They have shown that Catholics still have guts.

We have a moral duty to defend the faith and God when there is an active promotion of blasphemy. I do not understand those comments that ask if we would do the same to every heretic out there.

 Eye-roll

The inability of Catholics to look foolish (in the eyes of the world) for their holy faith has contributed so much to the muck we are now in. I am proud of those youth.

But, I do give props for the female protestors for wearing pants.

Someone, you're trying too hard to be Skippy Lite. Give it up!

Once upon a time when there was order and clear understanding of truth and consequence, anyone who would throw feces at a holy icon would have been ripped apart.

In fact Charlemagne himself dispatched degenerate pagans who were into things like child sacrifice.  Relatively speaking, after Europe was settled through swift laying of the law like Charlemagne's, there was incredible stability until the Great Schism of the Avignon Papacy (except of course for the Islamic scurge.)

But those who don't repent will pay a far worse price than mortal death for these acts.  What is more to be concerned with is that the world will soon make these demonstrations extremely criminal and eventually the bankrupted and faithless masses will directly attack the last few actual, traditional Catholics.

2) Regardless of whether you live in a country with religious liberty or not, in and of itself no false religion has rights, especially no equal rights with the divine revealed religion of God.

No, no, no, silly. Vatican II changed all that due to 'the new context in which She sees Herself.' Where have been?

If I remember correctly, that was CollegeCatholic who started that, not Scipio. (Pardon me, CollegeCatholic, if I am mistaken.)
