I ground my faith upon Jesus Christ, and by Him I steadfastly believe to be saved, as is taught in the Catholic Church through all Christendom, and promised to remain with Her unto the world's end, and hell gates shall not prevail against it: and by God's assistance I mean to live and die in the same faith; for if an angel come from heaven, and preach any other doctrine than we have received, the Apostle biddeth us not to believe him. Therefore, if I should follow your doctrine, I should disobey the Apostle's commandment.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

In the past, it seemed to me, it was abused to be merely a way to indicate agreement or disagreement.  I think that is a mistake.  Just because one does not agree does not mean the member or post is somehow "bad".  Having unpopular ideas should not merit a lot of bloody chum.  Being belligerent, hateful, sarcastic -- that deserves a -1.  By the same token, having popular ideas should not merit a +1 every time.  If the post is insightful, original, well-written, helpful, etc., that deserves some praise.  Giving everyone with whom one agrees a +1 and everyone else a -1 just causes cliquishness.

I've actually seen them live once a few years ago.

I was escorting a girl, though.

"THE LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 26:1)

"And we, too, being called by His will in Christ Jesus, are not justified by ourselves, nor by our own wisdom, or understanding, or godliness, or works which we have wrought in holiness of heart; but by that faith through which, from the beginning, Almighty God has justified all men; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." — Clement, bishop of Rome

"I love truth," says he, "and not sects. I am sometimes a peripatetic, a stoic, or an academician, and often none of them; but—always a Christian. To philosophise is to love wisdom; and the true wisdom is Jesus Christ. Let us read the historians, the poets, and the philosophers; but let us have in our hearts the gospel of Jesus Christ, in which alone is perfect wisdom and perfect happiness." — Petrarch

Pop music is absolute crap and a waste of time and is no way to court a dame.

"Tenthly, one should pour tea into the cup first. This is one of the most controversial points of all; indeed in every family in Britain there are probably two schools of thought on the subject. The milk-first school can bring forward some fairly strong arguments, but I maintain that my own argument is unanswerable. This is that, by putting the tea in first and stirring as one pours, one can exactly regulate the amount of milk, whereas one is liable to put in too much milk if one does it the other way round."

And who gives a rats fat arse?
There are infinitely more classy ways to court a Lass.
Flowers and making her a steak and cous cous supper.
The French restaurant on 44th and 9th.
Taking her to see Julius Ceaser in  Shakespeare in the Park.
Buying her a new kitty.
Taking her to a Solemn High Mass.
etc.

Like anything that's pop culture, really.  Some SSPX priests told me that it's wrong to listen to pop music because it leads people to sin.

As if I needed another reason to dislike Coldplay.  Eye-roll

It's obvious that Iolanthe doesn't require all that.

Hear that, Someone? Just a concert away...

She really loved Coldplay and she invited me to go with her.

No harm in that. I don't regret the experience.
