There are infinitely more classy ways to court a Lass.

1. Flowers and making her a steak and cous cous supper.
2. The French restaurant on 44th and 9th.
3. Taking her to see Julius Ceaser in Shakespeare in the Park.
4. Buying her a new kitty.
5. Taking her to a Solemn High Mass.
etc.

1. Flowers only work with people who are already dating. I agree with cooking for her, though;
2. Waste of time and money;
3. If she's into it, yes, but most girls aren't;
4. Buying things doesn't accomplish nothing unless you already date her and even so it must be used sparingly;
5. What??

Why would you want to date a girl who wasn't?

We don't have to have the same tastes.

As long as hers are bearable and she's not utterly futile, it's ok.

I have gotten flowers for girls who I am not dating and they like them.
2]If the food is excellent and she apreciates it how is it a waste?
3]Most girls I know apreciate Shakespeare under the moonlight.
4] I agree with your fourth point
5]I have taken several girls to a Solemn High Mass and they were impressed, its one of the ways I won my wife.

You don't have to have the same interests, but things get old pretty quickly if you don't have some shared interests.

As for me I am done dating women who think Shakespeare is boring.

That's true.

I appreciate a woman who's intelligent and who can at least digress a bit about politics, religion, history and literature (or movies, or music). However, I don't make a point that she actually has to share the same opinions on those subjects as I do.

Each man has his own standards, I guess. Nothing wrong with that.

1. What's the point? She won't like you because you buy her flowers. It's a bit awkward.
2. What's the point? She won't like you because you take her out to dinner at a fancy restaurant.
3. Okay.
5. I'd never thing of the Mass as a tool to impress a girl.

Having a guy invite you to mass with him, pray the rosary together, attend adoration with one another, etc. is quite enchanting imho.  But, one would hope he'd not suggest such as a way to 'impress' her.
