My wife attended a retreat in Tulsa this past weekend.  She went specifically to listen to some great traditional priests talk about family life.  There was great fruit!

Fr. Ripperger, of Sensus Traditionis (great website!!) FSSP, was the main reason she attended.  We have heard of him many times and she was finally able to hear this holy man speak.  She told me some snippets of the talks he gave and I was blown away.  I will start with the one that completely blew my mind. 

1.  Recording artists have now figured out that if they do some satanic/occult prayers they can increase sales 6 fold.  He specifically mentioned Kayne but many other "pop" artists I have read fall in this category as well (Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Madonna, just to name a few that have figured it out and occult references are all throughout their lyrics and music videos).  What they do is record the original record at the recording studio and take that original copy and then bring into a room and do some kind of occult prayer and call down a "god" to be with that album.  From that possessed recording all other copies are made and spread.  The movie industry has figured this out.  And now sadly, the food industry has figured this out.  He asked, "Why do you think there is so much obesity these days?  Why can people just NOT stop eating?

This completely blew my mind.  I was in shock, speechless, and that never happens to me.  I'm known as "cool under pressure" and can handle anything but not this.  I have heard before how waitresses and cooks are now putting spells on food they serve at restaurants to spread their religion... that you eat and take into your body.  He said to ALWAYS bless anything you eat or drink cause you never know.  Well now I knew about the food industry doing it?  Stuff I buy at the grocery store?  And songs?  Movies?  This computer and that TV screen surely are portals into your home!! 

2.  If a song or movie has just one moment in it that makes you wish that wasn't there. Just one "oh m G!" or reference like that, it is bad and cannot stay.  Even if it was edited out or you skip that scene.  "But FATHER!....."  How would you like it if your spouse carried around with them a poem that spoke very badly about you in it, but that one line was blacked out or that he or she just "skipped' reading that line but it was originally there?  Same thing, God doesn't like it.

3.  Don't just "surf" the internet.  That, along with many other ways, is just "feeding your comforts" and ruins your soul.  We aren't supposed to please all our wants.  Get on with a purpose, get off.  Technology is hurting many a soul!

4.  The huge importance of giving your paternal blessing to your wife and kids every day.  Family, food, anything that comes into my house gets a blessing of some type now.  My house needs to be a safehaven from the evil in this world and I won't let anything infect it!


There was tons more, but these were the big ones coming from a leading exorcist who, with the authority of Christ, gets to command demons to answer truthfully on certain topics. 


Why am I posting it?  I want others to know.  As a Catholic husband and father, I take my role in life very seriously.  The holier I am, the closer I stay to the Eucharist and Confession, the more protections from evil my family has as I pray for them.  Just hearing my wife recount the talks instantly helped me get over a sin I had been carrying around, had confessed, but was unable to shake.  I hated this one random person but could never forgive and let go.  After hearing Father's words through her, I randomly thought of that one person and instantly forgave and moved on.   Nice weight off my shoulders.  Hearing his words also shook me from my prayer sloth and got me back to praying for my family and this house once again at night. 

Father Chad Ripperger, FSSP is a great man (as are others!) and I encourage all of you to get to any of his talks when he travels nearby!

Forgive my impertinence, but how does he know?  Source?  For example, I figured obesity was the result of: 1) food being more readily available than at any time in history; 2) bad food being more readily available than at any time in history; 3) sedentary lifestyles in the western world; and 4) lack of virtue in the western world.

Numbers 3 and 4 are something I can support and get behind.  The other two, I'm not positive.  I understand the sentiment of number 2, though.

For the first point. There are dozens of references to the occult in many if not most of the most popular music today. Jay-Z has been going around for years talking about being a Mason.

Many of these artists- Beyonce, Kanye, Rhianna- are all employed by the same company. While I doubt that the actual artists are doing the spells, I am sure their producers are. Why not? They show clear signs of being tied to free masonry which, as we have been warned by many Popes, is satanic.


The point on food was very interesting. I will definitely have to think about that.

Dusty, no problem.  When an exorcist is following all the rules during the ceremony, "with the authority of Christ"  there are certain questions that the demons are bound by natural law to answer without lying.  Their name and how they got into the person (how the person messed up and invited demons into their life) are two examples.  He and many other exorcists now are seeing patterns of entry.  Cursed food and songs/movies are moving quickly up the charts here in the U.S. 

I doubt any of these people really care about the "god", but they love the extra money and will do whatever it takes.  Some are pawns, some know what they do.

If you believe all that, how can you stay on FE?  You can't control the ads, you can't control what others post and what might reach your eyes.

If I believed what you wrote (every word) then I would delete my account with FE and would stop using the internet except when required to by my job.

I think he is speaking of just sitting at the computer without any purpose.

Like if you had to look up something on roses. Then checked something on soil, then organic gardening...organic food...plastic packaging contaminating foods... estrogen found in water...flouride...water filters, etc.

I think that deciding to be on FE for the purpose of socializing with other trads is a purpose, not aimlessly clicking away. Perhaps caution is mentioned with the use of the internet since most internet traffic is porn and can be a huge temptation for some. As far as the ads, many people here have mentioned that they had ad blockers and never see them.

I agree, he did say the internet should be for a specific purpose.  But that's not what follows from his initial beliefs.  If I believed everything in the original post, I would say "don't use the internet except when necessary" not just "don't use it except hwne you have a defined purpose."

So if I agreed with his initial beliefs, I would conclude I would have to leave FE. 

I also thinks he gives way too much power to the influence of evil.  Yes it's real, yes we should bless ourselves and our food and family, and always be on guard.

But if I really worried about everything in the original post ... I'd be paralyzed with fear.  I really think it's all a bit histrionic.

Example: I agree about movie/song influences in general, and I personally hate pop music anyway.  But I like to watch good films/plays/operas even if I don't like every moment in them. 

So was I wrong to go see La Boheme earlier this month?  I mean, I knew ahead of time that there are references to cohabitation (Rodolfo and Mimi) ... but I've never heard a trad priest who had a problem with La Boheme.  It's not porn, it's beautiful music, and I don't have to agree with everything the characters do ... but it does very casually represent major sympathetic characters cohabitating ... and I don't think it's going to stop me from seeing it again and again.

I have very much enjoyed the sermons that I have heard from Father Ripperger, and I wonder if we might be losing something in translation here.  To continue your point, wouldn't have Saint Thomas Aquinas then sinned for reading Aristotle and the Muslim theologian Averroes?
