FE kind of reminds me of Girard in a way. Every once in a while a, shall we say, eccentric poster makes a thread on some unusual topic. At which point, the forum comes together, puts all of their sins onto this poster, and then proceeds to ritually mock him in order to restore peace to the forum as a whole. Fascinating!
