1. Legalizing it just offers a choice. It doesn't decrease the use of them, look at Floridas oxy problem. It's not legal there I know, but pretty close. Regularization of drugs offers a choice to use or not, it doesn't offer a decrease in abuse. The argument is that there would be a hope people wouldn't use them. With the way the world is today how can you hope people wouldn't abuse them. I am not a fan of reverse psychology for drug laws. Keep it illegal.

...is nobody going to bring up Portugal, here?!

Well without actually SAYING portugal, I did.  But it doesn't matter.  Pot should be illegal!  Spending 40k a year on 500,000 non violent offenders is a good way to spend taxpayers money.  Especially since marijuana is a gateway drug, ya know?

Please tell me they don't involve 4-8 tablespoons of nutmeg...

No, it was posted way back in the beginning.

Basically, legalise everything for adults, but make the choice to use drugs not an excuse or mitigating factor for any crimes committed as a result.

Friends,

I'd like to prevent any new notifications from this blasted thread from appearing in my "Show new replies to your posts" box. How do I do it?
