Figured that if Jackson Eskew was worthy of a thread here, Vetus should get something...

Some of my favorite times on this forum were before my registration - reading the back-and-forth between Vetus and Credo.  Such good times, indeed! [/nostalgia]

He is a Catholic gentleman, and a friend. I disagreed with him on a few things, but on those essential things, we are in agreement. I would always look forward to him giving an articulate, Catholic response.

The only thing that will change the public "face" of traditional Catholicism is for those trads who have love in them to post more and to not be run out by the bitter types.

According to his FB page, no reason was given, I often disagreed with him on minor points of theological opinion, but he was a solid, orthdox Catholic poster as well as a fine example of a Catholic gentleman. I'll miss him a great deal.

Favorite moments with Vetus?  G+ comes to mind.  And that one time when me and him and I forget who else were discussing the etymology of anatomical parts... that was great.

Vetus is one of the folks that made FE great.  If his ban is permanent then we've lost something irreplaceable and we should count ourselves as quite unfortunate.
