They were a 9-7 regular season team that battled and fought tooth and nail for five straight wins including three playoff wins.
They beat the heavily favored Green Bay Packers, and just tonight they beat the San Francisco Forty-Niners in overtime.
They are going to the Superbowl.
Eli Manning is one of the toughest, never say die, smart quaterbacks in the league.

Go Giants!

Most teams that win 3 straight playoff games do not "suck". Smile
We shall see how the Gints do against the Brady Buch come Feb 5, but Big Blue is on fire right now.

I watched the game and was very impressed by both teams. It's a shame someone had to lose. I'm not impressed with the Giants' regular-season record, but they had a very tough schedule and some injury problems (sort of like the Packers last year). They sure are playing well lately. I was especially impressed with Eli Manning -- he was getting the crap beat out of him by the 49ers' pass rush, but he just "took a lickin' and kept on tickin'!" I think the Patriots will have their hands full. Should be a good Super Bowl.

By the way, does anyone else think that the Ravens were robbed of a touchdown near the end of the AFC Championship game? I thought the guy clearly had possession before they knocked the ball out of his hands. I guess he didn't have it long enough, but I would have called it a catch and a touchdown -- and I'm not even a Ravens fan (I was rooting for the Patriots).

San Francisco's punt returner gave that game away.

Yeah, but we had a possession and should have hit a field goal to close it out.

I don't know who to go for in the SB. Naturally, I want revenge against the NYG, but I like both teams, Eli and Tom Brady.

No he didn't have possession. If he did there surely would have been a challenge. In order to have possession you have to have control of the ball and make a "football move." Meaning he would have either had to go to the ground with the ball or actually have possession and take a step which he clearly did not do. Let's face it, when your field goal kicker chokes on a chip shot field goal...you deserve to lose.

He only had one foot down. Then the ball was hit out.
