I propose that we should have another "Favorite memories of JayneK" thread. I'd vote for Advent 2011.

Nah, it wasn't.
It was obsessive, angry and rather bizarrely vindictive. Psychotic seems a good moniker. This is silly. Please don't argue with the people who are criticizing me. Thank you, Jayne; however, I just have to add though, that I was only sticking up for Tmw89 and not criticizing you. ETA: Looks like I killed this thread. That makes about 7 total, I'd say.

So much for Fish Eaters. I don't recognize this place anymore.

This thread is a bizarre way to achieve martyrdom, isn't it?

I did not expect this thread to turn out the way it did. I thought people would vent a bit and it would clear the air.

I'm very fond of Jayne. Jayne, you need a major project to keep you out of trouble here. Something, something.....Something that'll pull you away in a more positive direction. Not that you should quit FE, but another project is in order. What'll it be? Hmmmmmmmm...You could always start up an online mantilla shop and give the rest of us veil ladies a little run... but somehow I think it could be something more intellectual.

It's always all about you, isn't it Jane? "Always" is a word with meaning. You can't take individual instances and then use them to construct an "always" situation. This is a thread which was made by her and obviously she would have had a purpose and expectations for this thread. Anybody who makes a thread and it does not go as expected can express such a thought about the expectations of a thread.

Anyway, it was actually created so she would quit distracting from Vetus' thread. So while, strictly speaking, about JayneK, it was really about Vetus. And I think it was a classy (if weird) thing to do.

Jayne, I really like the content of your posts. You're a great defender of your faith. There are many amazing faith filled people here. Even if I don't agree with the person's opinion, I learn from them regardless. I appreciate the information in your posts as well. I have to say, at some level I'm not at all surprised that you opened this thread. You do have a tendency to enjoy being corrected. It's probably my own view but, it seems so predominantly by men. Placing yourself in a subservient position is not going to help you understand yourself better nor is it going to make the young boys who have a fantasy of how women should behave like you more. It just seems (to me) that you like it. I'm not saying it's masochistic or martyrdom behavior but, you seem a bit too open to criticism - in a way that is not healthy. You're value is in your love for God and Church - not to have you praised and accepted by the tank.

... you should know that there is present with you the angel whom God has appointed for each man… This angel, who is sleepless and cannot be deceived, is always present with you; he sees all things and is not hindered by darkness. You should know, too, that with him is God. -St. Anthony the Great
