Personally I think that Nic is at the extreme end of the spectrum. So I'm not sure why his is considered a accurate reading of the tank.
Wouldn't it be a better idea to bring up things that show our similarities? How do you think this thread is going to end? Everyone is going to start fighting, and more lines are drawn. Seriously, Satan doesn't have to lift a freakin finger to keep us all fighting and bickering and dividing ourselves. We do it ourselves.
I've been seeing comments like that by others but maybe they are all extreme types. I'm getting tired of being told that I am not a real trad. It's starting to get to me. Maybe I should be thinking about taking a break.
Who cares what they think? Nic is known for having a narrow interpretation of what he feels is acceptable. Good for him. Whatever gets him into Heaven. I could easily throw a few others in that category as well. But they do not define traditionalism. No one does. The entire world is in chaos. We have no clear leadership from our fathers. So, as is always the case, the kids are running the show, trying to figure things out on their own. Is it any wonder that we all come up with different perspectives?
When Christ established His Church, He did not require a PhD. If the world is upside down right now, it's because He has allowed it to be so. If we are all confused because the truth has been fragmented and hidden, it is so because He deigns it to be. So for each one of us, rad trad, neo cath, No lover, what have you is this...
Are you ready to die right now? Are you in the state of grace? Will God say to you at judgement,"Well done good and faithful servant?"
Those are the things we should judge ourselves with. Not on what part of some ridiculous spectrum we have constructed because, well, basically, because we are a bunch of idiots. We have lost our Catholic identity and culture, what we have made up to compensate is severely lacking.
Basically Jayne, who the hell cares what anyone thinks of you and where you are on your pilgrimage.
Edit- I am not trying to be mean. My tone is one of a friend trying to tell you to "buck up".
