I mentioned this in the other thread - my father wears traditional pajamas. He is more 'man' than any other male person that I've ever met in my life.
Case closed.
P.S. And he will forever stay on a pedestal. Any disagreement.... well, let's just say it won't be pretty.

You go to pray: to become a bonfire, a living flame, giving heat and light. -St. Jose Escriva De Belaguer
... you should know that there is present with you the angel whom God has appointed for each man… This angel, who is sleepless and cannot be deceived, is always present with you; he sees all things and is not hindered by darkness. You should know, too, that with him is God. -St. Anthony the Great

Pajama bottoms (or sweat pants) with a T-shirt. Wearing anything more is for Canadians.

"Nothing is more miserable than those people who never failed to attack their own salvation. When there was need to observe the Law, they trampled it under foot. Now that the Law has ceased to bind, they obstinately strive to observe it. What could be more pitiable that those who provoke God not only by transgressing the Law but also by keeping it? But at any rate the Jews say that they, too, adore God. God forbid that I say that. No Jew adores God! Who say so? The Son of God say so. For he said: "If you were to know my Father, you would also know me. But you neither know me nor do you know my Father". Could I produce a witness more trustworthy than the Son of God?" St. John Chrysostom Sunday Homily

I don't get it. Why would you buy PJs and then just wear the bottoms? Seems like a waste of money. I have sleep pants, pants designed specifically for sleeping (not banking and booze hounding). I wear that with a t-shirt. That's easy.
As for sleeping with nothing on....ummm...no. Unless you're married, I guess its ok then, unless your wife wears PJs. Then it's just weird.

Well that's silly. Everybody knows that Canadians, being impervious to cold, wear less clothes than anyone else. We sleep nude under our polar bear skin blankets (which we catch ourselves.) Nobody is more manly that Canadians, not even Canadian women.

The "poll" is missing an option for sleeping in whatever one wears during the day. However, in my case, barring any need to be up and going immediately (see above), I choose: f) REAL MEN sleep in their underwear

I think it depends on the generation. I used to take care of elderly people and many of the men wore pajamas; knowing their past, they were what you would call "real" men (as opposed to fake ) But the people of my generation probably wouldn't think of pajamas as manly. I even think of them as something kids wear.
